Unidentified traits -- Olann (talk) 21:12, 8 June 2014 (EDT) -- Olann (talk) 21:12, 8 June 2014 (EDT)<editsection-brackets>n">[edit]<editsection-brackets>

I'm noticing a lot of unidentified traits in some lists like the ones in W. I've already added in trait lines for all those cards in W, so do you think it would be a good idea to add or make a separate list for unidentified cards while deleting pages for those with trait lines added in them?

Re: Unidentified traits -- Olann (talk) 21:12, 8 June 2014 (EDT) -- Morgan (talk) 06:10, 9 June 2014 (EDT)<editsection-brackets>n">[edit]<editsection-brackets>

well the pages them self only search for the cards and list them alphabetically. But the wiki doesn't allow to search for things that arent there. so I can't search for not existing traits. But if you mean that the page itself does not show all the changes you made, that's correct. The listing pages themself won't show new data, before you manually edit them and save them again without any changes. It's a bit complicated but as far as I know the only way. --Morgan (talk) 06:10, 9 June 2014 (EDT)

Re: Re: Unidentified traits -- Olann (talk) 21:12, 8 June 2014 (EDT) -- Olann (talk) 15:04, 9 June 2014 (EDT)<editsection-brackets>n">[edit]<editsection-brackets>

I'm thinking more in the lines of having a new page with "?" Traits for those that hasn't been identified since the auto template has a "?" for the trait variable line by default. That way we'd know those cards have the new auto templates in them so the only change someone would need to do is to edit the trait variable line itself. And yeah, I was wondering why the list didn't auto-fill after the changes. Good to know!

If the Variable is ?, than someone has already edited the template and only inserted ? as a value since he didn't know the correct temp. I thought ppl would only edit those cards, they knew. I think I was wrong. --Morgan (talk) 16:37, 9 June 2014 (EDT)

Nevermind, I got it. I thought the listing would update by itself, but someone would have to manually edit that page in order for it to update. It's a little annoying, but I see why it works like that.

yeah, it definitely is. Confused me too when I started working with the wiki. Sadly, there is no way around, since the wiki does not "update" itself once in a while. --Morgan (talk) 06:16, 14 June 2014 (EDT)

Well, this is messed up. I went to fix the image names for Ultimate Bahamut but ended up making the 3rd form image redirect to the 4th form image. I'm not sure if I can fix that myself. If it turns out I can't fix it myself, mind fixing it for me?

Actually, now I'm thinking if it's a better idea to just make a new page with the correct formatting for images instead of moving old pages? Since I'm just a normal user, I notice all I do is make redirects when I move those pages which adds clutter to the wiki.

If you actually reupload the picture, the wiki saves two pictures. One used and one unused. Less data would be to just rename pictures. But if you come across something you can't rename ore the moving won't work, just give me a message and I'll take a look. --Morgan (talk) 06:50, 16 June 2014 (EDT)

Oceanus's images are named out of order. Can you fix it for me? Thanks in advance.

Fixed it. But what did you mean with "our of order"? Oceanus images seem to be in the right order. Do you mean their naming? (Oceanus.jpg, Oceanus1.jpg... Oceanus3.jpg) is yes, the trick do do this yourself would be to start from the back (3>4, 2>3, 1>2, ?>1). This should work even with normal user rights. :) --Morgan (talk) 08:02, 3 July 2014 (EDT)

I wasn't paying enough attention and messed up when moving the pictures... I didn't notice at first they were labeled as blank, 1, 2, 3, and they got renamed with that incorrect numbering scheme, and I have no way of fixing that myself. Thought I'd let you know... in the mean time, I'll make sure that the card page points to the page it has the pictures on now so at least they show up right

Done. If you come across cards with pictures labeled as blank,1,2,3, try renaming them backwards (3>4, 2>3,1>2,blank>1). This should work. Thx for you work on the wiki :) --Morgan (talk) 08:48, 26 July 2014 (EDT)

Thank you. By the time I noticed it was numbered that way, it was already too late. I'll be more careful next time.

And if you look at the bard page, the problem still isn't fixed. The pictures were given the correct page name but for the card one level below them... look at the pictures on that page and it will make sense.

You might have to undo the Moves that I did to fix it right... possibly...?

What should be Bard1 is Bard2, Bard2 is Bard3, and Bard3 and Bard4 are both Bard4. When I mixed up the naming, I messed up the redirects I think. Also searching for things like File:Rookie Bard1.jpg is bringing up the wrong form for me.

Reward cards, box reward cards, and such -- MtheL000 (talk) 12:19, 3 December 2014 (EST) -- MtheL000 (talk) 12:19, 3 December 2014 (EST)<editsection-brackets>n">[edit]<editsection-brackets>

Morgan,

What defines a "Reward Card"? When is a Reward Card different from a card received as a reward?

And while we're on the subject of how to define cards, when are each of the following card indicators "true":

|event_card = Is this like Orus or Amulet Exorcist, or does it include all event cards (like Berserk Troll or Museum Curator)?

|referral_card = Easy

|friendship_card_pack = Okay, this is easy enough

|premium_card_pack = As in, you have to pay coin, or

|quest_card = Which quest? Regular, or event quests?

|realm_booster_box = Never seen it

|silver_coin_card = Never seen that either.

|treasure_card = Noe even sure what this means

|source = Obtained through quests and jewel exchanges in Scarlet Portraits

Yeah, I'm trying to be consistent, but how exactly do we want to indicate the source?

Thanks. I'm just trying to lighten everyone's load a tiny bit.

Hi, those categories were long there since I first started on the wiki, so I don't know what they were originally intended to mean, but I think some of those I could clear up for you:

Reward Card: Only those cards that the event itself noted as reward cards. The event info we are adding to the wiki is in general just a copy of the info written in ROB itself. So just the cards noted in the "Reward Card" Section of an event should be added in this event category.

|event_card = Actually I don't know. It does not seem like the previous generation of wiki admins and users did use this category with something in mind and just added random cards. But actually I like the idea about only adding the untradeable event HR.

|referral_card = You got it ;)

|friendship_card_pack = self-explanatory as well, although I don't think those cards would need a special category, since you get them in event quests as well.

|premium_card_pack = I think this was meant as the 100 Rage Medals packets you could/can buy that we now get "for free" in every event from the boxes. I don't really think this is a good category since there could be almost every card in this cp

|quest_card = I would think this means the cards you get from the regular quests LvL 2-xxx

|realm_booster_box = I have actually no idea either

|silver_coin_card = I think this was meant for cards that one could get from the silver coin boxes in CC events. I really don't think those cards need an extra category thought.

|treasure_card = This would mean the cards you get for completing a treasure series in the quests I think.
